The Hotel has a rich history. Until 1262, it was a former palace owned by the noble Bulgarini family. The old Ponzi's tower can be seen in the Hotel's facade.
In the Nineteenth century, the Hotel was called “ Locanda delle Armi d'Inghilterra” and now it is known as “Cannon d'Oro”.
