Private Lodging
Romantic Casa Lorenzina B&B
Friendly family-style approach at this 17th century house in a beautiful setting amidst vegetation overlooking the Mediterranean.
The building is situated in an ecologically intact, climatic niche located at the border of chic (and expensive) Italian & French Riviera.
The former convent, 70m above the sea, is enclosed in a remarkably large private property between olive groves and vegetable fields, where only organic farming is allowed.
The air is filled with the perfume of local and tropical scents - the silence broken only by the sounds of the sea, the wind and wild birds.
We also make available to our fine Guests our extensive film collection (approx. 4 hundred titles) and our multi-lingual library.
Our upper panoramic terrace is equipped with garden furniture, rocking sofa, and other pleasant gear aimed at making your stay as comfortable as possible.
Every morning we serve from 8.30 onwards ( no reasonable limit to the time you start!!!) a superb, lunch-skipping breakfast with a menu changing every day - old tastes that only genuine, healthy and fresh food can give you.
When you arrive you find on your table the fresh-squeezed orange juice, crème caramel pudding, probiotic yoghurt and freshly made fruit salad.
Hot coffee, tea, chocolate are already brewed for you.
Twelve different qualities of jams, marmalades and preserves most made by us with organic products, honeys.
In the meanwhile the freshly baked lemon- or apple cake is served.
After the sweets section, the local specialties parade starts, featuring focaccia con le olive e rosmarino, Melon and Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella & tomato salad with extravergin pristine oil, fried zucchini flowers, cheese quiche, scrambled eggs with Parmesan cheese, preserved aubergines, oil-presaerved dried tomatoes, and much, much more.
What’s peculiar to us, Pier always cooks your breakfast on the spot and serves it hot.
It is not by chance that our area has been for centuries home to such a large number of very affluent people who built here their homes.
Nature performs here at best, providing a colourful background quite typical of the Riviera.
This is why there are countless botanical gardens and historical villas to visit.
What’s peculiar to our region is to have both sea resorts and high Alpine landscapes.
So, there are enchanting beaches at a walk’s distance, whereas in the opposite direction with a 20 minutes drive you reach 6000 feet high villages.
We are 7 miles to Monte-Carlo and very close to all the points of interest.
Also, the Italian and French picturesque inland villages provide an occasion for hikes and visits, plus food and wine-tasting itineraries.
Our family supports the promotion of sustainable development on this coastal strip, respecting environmental, scenic, historical, and archaeological characteristics.
All-on-all, what our fine Guests seem to appreciate most, it’s (incredible!) us as persons …Your hosts, Pier ( he speaks too much, helas!) and Luca, are always available for assistance and advice ( and to have a drink and a chat, if you like to join).
Our cleaning staff, Rosanna and Vincent, are also available to help with your luggage and for your every need.
